Pain during or after sex: causes and what you can do

Sexual intercourse can cause pain and after-effects, however, it is an exceptional experience that men go through on a daily basis.  Some men suffer from pain during and after sexual intercourse, which is what doctors call dyspareunia. It is a pathology that affects both men and women and several factors are at the origin of it.

How does dyspareunia manifest itself in men?

If you feel pain during sex with your partner, you are suffering from dyspareunia. This is caused by several factors. As far as factors are concerned, it can be infections and in this case, it can be candidiasis, herpes and why not chlamydia. In addition to this, dyspareunia can be created because of the foreskin if it is too narrow. This can undoubtedly have an impact on the sexual act. What happens is that there may be sores on the foreskin that are invisible to the naked eye and will be causing you excruciating pain every time you try to have sex with a woman. When your prostate is itchy, it’s a possible sign that you have dyspareunia. If you find that your testicles are swollen in a strange way because you have not been able to ejaculate at the same time as your partner is coming, then you have dyspareunia.

How does dyspareunia manifest itself in women?

Sexual intercourse should normally result in the satisfaction of pleasure. However, some women experience pain, which makes them lose interest in sex.  It is a problem located in their intimate part. According to medical specialists, these pains are a sign of menopause. It may also be that the lack of sexual desire is responsible for these vaginal pains. There are many reasons for this disease, but the good news is that there is a treatment that allows patients to regain their sexual pleasure.
